One Act Opera with the assistance of Professor Emeritus Stephen Henrikson and ATW Actors Lab, will be producing a workshop production of Der Scahuspeildirektor, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Three shows only:
3rd November at Phog Lounge, 10:00pm (157 University Ave. W)
4th November at U of W Music building Recital Hall, 7:30pm (401 Sunset Ave.)
5th November at Willistead Manor, 6:30pm (1899 Niagara St.)
Der Schauspieldirektor concerns two opera divas in rehearsal with the director of an upcoming production. Both singers assume they have the starring role and quarrel, upstaging one other to prove their quality to the show’s director. Heated words and comparisons between food and singing quality ensue. The director invites them to share the stage in a what he assures would be an elevation of high art. But will the production even make it through rehearsal?
